    Rita Papaleo Ruiz
    Lead of Early Career Recruiting at Google
    Rita Papaleo Ruiz currently serves as a Managing Lead Recruiter at Google where she has spent the last 17+ years working in Human Resources with a focus on Recruiting. She joined Google after 4 years working in Finance where she focused on sales and equity Research. A passion for global education in the corporate arena led her to pursue a Masters in International Education from NYU and she immediately started her career at Google. Her first roles was managing candidate engagement as a part of the company’s global expansions into new markets, with a focus on Latin America. Her time at Google has also seen her create and develop global student programs focused on improving representation in tech, as well as skills based programs for various technologies, such as Machine Learning. Rita currently oversees a team of recruiters focused hiring of 300+ new graduate Researchers and Software Engineers within the Research space at Google. Her expertise is in working with recent college graduates as they navigate the tech hiring landscape, including resume development and interview skills.

    Rita is a graduate of the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences Class of 1999, with a major in Latin American Studies and Minor in International Studies. She was involved in numerous extra curricular activities, including Dance Marathon and the Northwestern University Marching Band.
