About This Unurbanist Assembly 2021

We believe in a future rooted in Transformative Justice. On June 18, join us as we create a 23-hour virtual community dedicated to confronting the legacy of racism in Urban Planning. We'll be streaming live from Savannah, GA!

What's happening in our world today illustrates the extent to which our ideas about race and public space are constructed on harmful narratives that can be traced throughout our country’s existence. Last year, over 8,000 people gathered because they desired to remake urban planning to be more equitable, anti-racist, joy-centered, and reparative for those who’ve been marginalized and harmed by it in the past. This year, join us as we continue to equip ourselves to sustain a movement that seeks a life of dignity and justice for all racialized people–especially in the built environment.
