Certified Community Supervision Professional (CCSP)
Community supervision today isn’t just about checking boxes—it’s about working with people who have real challenges, complex needs, and high expectations placed on them. The Certified Community Supervision Professional (CCSP) is a national certification curated by APPA to support officers doing this work every day.
CCSP is a 25-hour, self-paced online certification focused on the skills officers actually use in the field. The program is practical, not theoretical, and centers on how supervision professionals build relationships, guide behavior change, and make sound decisions with the people they supervise.
The certification is built around five core skill areas:
Building a supportive alliance with clients
Using motivational mentoring to encourage change
Setting and working toward realistic goals
Supporting skill development and accountability
Applying reflective practice and trauma-informed approaches
Participants have 90 days to complete the program, must demonstrate 80% mastery, and earn a certificate, digital badge, and APPA contact hours upon completion.
This webinar will provide a clear overview of what CCSP is, who it’s designed for, and how it can help officers strengthen their supervision practice and feel more confident in their day-to-day work.
