Kay Odepe is an astute Supply Chain Management professional with progressive accomplishments and international work experience spanning over 15 years in both Mature markets (Canada, USA, Switzerland and Sweden) and Emerging markets (West Africa) in varied industries including Financial services, Automotive, Food & Beverages industries and most recently, Consumer Health/Pharma.
He’s had the privilege of working at Fortune 500 companies including Bayer (Canada, USA and Switzerland), Cadbury Plc., Kraft Foods Inc., Mondelez and Citigroup. Much earlier in his career, he also executed short term projects at New Flyer Industries (Canada), VOLVO and IKEA (Sweden) and Heineken (Nigeria).
Kayode holds a Masters’ degree (M.Sc.) in Production and Operations Management (Sweden), a Bachelor of Science Degree (B.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering (Nigeria) and is a member of Supply Chain Canada.
Till date, Kayode has led global Supply Chain projects in various organizations and geographies including:
• Supply Network Process Optimization Projects.
• Mergers & Acquisitions, Divestitures, Manufacturing Site Transfers, New Product Launches and Formulation/Legal Entity changes.
• SAP ERP implementation (Production Planning and Replenishment, Supply Chain Planning and Order to Cash).
• Implementation of Integrated Demand/Supply Planning tools.
• Implementation and roll out of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Business Model.
Kayode is very passionate about sharing his unique, global perspective and diverse experience to coach/mentor the next generation of Supply Chain Management professionals around the world. He presently volunteers as an industry coach/mentor at Humber College (Toronto) Supply Chain Management Program, ACCES Employment’s Supply Chain Connections Program and George Brown College (Toronto) Supply Chain Program Advisory Committee (PAC).
As a Supply Chain Industry expert and resource person, Kayode frequently speaks at conferences and webinars including the most recently concluded Africa Supply Chain in Action 2020 Conference organized by SAPICS and Smart Procurement World. As a motivational speaker, he leverages his personal brand, successes stories and journey as an immigrant as the core of his message to new Canadian immigrants. His vision and passion are that through his story, he can “Educate, Inform, Encourage, Motivate, Inspire and Empower” new immigrants and Supply Chain Management professionals in Canada.
