Ronald East
Director of Operations, DHL Supply Chain (Matrix Logistics Services)
Ronald (Ron) East is the Director of Operations for DHL Supply Chain and their Matrix Logistics Distribution Centres in Cornwall, Ontario and Moncton, New Brunswick. Prior to DHL, Ron spent 23 years with Procter & Gamble, mainly in their Global Physical Distribution network.

While Ron started his career in Canada he has been fortunate to live in the United States (Delaware, Maine & Ohio), Germany and The United Kingdom. He has worked or travelled to 32 countries, mainly during his P&G tenure as part of his Global role as the Global Warehouse Operations Process Leader.

Outside of work, Ron has coached hockey and lacrosse for 15 years and has always enjoyed outdoor activities like hiking and mountain biking.

Paula Fontaine, CHRL
Director of Human Resources, SigmaPoint Technologies
Paula has more than 25 years of experience in HR. Her career path in the manufacturing industry includes automotive, transportation cabs, windows, and printing. Paula received her Industrial Management & Accounting Diploma from St. Lawrence College in 1985 and got her Human Resource Provincial Designation in 2004. Paula has been a member of the Human Resources Professional Association of Ontario since 1995. As a strong believer in higher education, Paula sits on two PAC’s (Program Advisory Committee) for St Lawrence College, Business and Supply Chain & Logistics to provide insight into business needs for the future workforce.

Niels van Namen
Executive Vice President Global Healthcare Sector, CEVA Logistics
Niels van Namen is an experienced Healthcare supply chain professional, entrepreneur and TED speaker. Niels is passionate about Patient Centric supply chains, improving patient outcomes and making Healthcare affordable and accessible for everyone.

Niels currently leads the global CEVA Healthcare team as the Executive Vice President for the Healthcare Sector.

Niels has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare and life science industry of working closely together with customers across R&D, supply chain and manufacturing. He is passionately involved in key developments and supply chain challenges.

Niels started his career as an engineer and an entrepreneur in clinical trials management. Niels initiated Diagnostic Units, a company performing clinical trials and providing regular diagnostics and care to patients in Europe. Niels joined the PWC/IBM Healthcare consulting practice. He joined DSV to lead the Healthcare vertical. Niels then joined UPS to lead the Healthcare sector for Europe.

Niels is a PDA member, holds an MSc from Delft University of Technology, obtained his MBA on the Rotterdam School of Management and holds a certificate from l'École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris. He lives in the Netherlands, is married and has three children.

Kay Odepe, M.Sc.
Supply Chain Manager, BAYER USA
Kay Odepe is an astute Supply Chain Management professional with progressive accomplishments and international work experience spanning over 15 years in both Mature markets (Canada, USA, Switzerland and Sweden) and Emerging markets (West Africa) in varied industries including Financial services, Automotive, Food & Beverages industries and most recently, Consumer Health/Pharma.
He’s had the privilege of working at Fortune 500 companies including Bayer (Canada, USA and Switzerland), Cadbury Plc., Kraft Foods Inc., Mondelez and Citigroup. Much earlier in his career, he also executed short term projects at New Flyer Industries (Canada), VOLVO and IKEA (Sweden) and Heineken (Nigeria).

Kayode holds a Masters’ degree (M.Sc.) in Production and Operations Management (Sweden), a Bachelor of Science Degree (B.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering (Nigeria) and is a member of Supply Chain Canada.

Till date, Kayode has led global Supply Chain projects in various organizations and geographies including:
• Supply Network Process Optimization Projects.
• Mergers & Acquisitions, Divestitures, Manufacturing Site Transfers, New Product Launches and Formulation/Legal Entity changes.
• SAP ERP implementation (Production Planning and Replenishment, Supply Chain Planning and Order to Cash).
• Implementation of Integrated Demand/Supply Planning tools.
• Implementation and roll out of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Business Model.

Kayode is very passionate about sharing his unique, global perspective and diverse experience to coach/mentor the next generation of Supply Chain Management professionals around the world. He presently volunteers as an industry coach/mentor at Humber College (Toronto) Supply Chain Management Program, ACCES Employment’s Supply Chain Connections Program and George Brown College (Toronto) Supply Chain Program Advisory Committee (PAC).

As a Supply Chain Industry expert and resource person, Kayode frequently speaks at conferences and webinars including the most recently concluded Africa Supply Chain in Action 2020 Conference organized by SAPICS and Smart Procurement World. As a motivational speaker, he leverages his personal brand, successes stories and journey as an immigrant as the core of his message to new Canadian immigrants. His vision and passion are that through his story, he can “Educate, Inform, Encourage, Motivate, Inspire and Empower” new immigrants and Supply Chain Management professionals in Canada.

Carla Kingston-Floyd
Webinar Host, Professor and Program Coordinator, Supply Chain Management Graduate Certificate Program
Carla started her career working for Sunbury Transport Limited in Saint John NB where she advanced to become the Branch Manager. Carla managed three divisions at Sunbury Transport Limited; the City Division, Intermodal Division and Container Division. Carla was then transferred to another Irving company; RST Transport which had her and her family relocate to Cornwall ON in 2001. In 2005, Carla joined St. Lawrence College as the Program Coordinator of the Self-Assistance Program prior to becoming a Professor and the Program Coordinator for the Supply Chain Management Graduate Program.
Carla obtained her Fleet Manager’s Accreditation from the University of New Brunswick and her MBA from Cape Breton University. Carla also graduated from St. Lawrence College from Teachers of Adults Program. Carla believes in real-world experiences and has worked with numerous community partners on projects; these real-world projects allow the student to apply the theory they learn in the class to practical applications in the field.
