About
Data flows between operations and business/analytics (IT) are allowing for better asset utilization, predictive maintenance, and quicker changeovers. Key enabling technologies include edge-compute platforms, standardized communications protocols, and hybrid cloud-edge architectures. Managing OT applications that demand millisec response and integrating legacy equipment remain significant hurdles.
