Join the BAMC (Business Aviation Management Committee) for the 2026 Summer Learning Series. Career growth and leadership development in business aviation are rarely linear. Professionals today are navigating changing hiring dynamics, career transitions, burnout, evolving definitions of success, and increasing expectations for leaders, while employers face growing challenges related to hiring, retention, and workforce development.

In this session, Sheryl Barden of Aviation Personnel International (API) and Jenny Showalter of Showalter Business Aviation Career Coaching (SBACC) will explore today’s business aviation career landscape from both the individual and employer perspective. Discussion topics will include career growth, leadership development, professional reputation, networking, organizational culture, hiring trends, retention, and how professionals can differentiate themselves beyond technical qualifications alone.
