From Incision to Integrity: Optimising Healing After Caesarean Section
☐ Global Innovation Summit Series
Masterclass Programme
Title : “From Incision to Integrity: Optimising Wound Healing in Obstetric Care”
☐ About This Masterclass

This free, globally accredited, interactive masterclass is designed for obstetricians, surgeons, midwives, nurses and wound care specialists, focusing on evidence-based strategies to optimise wound healing following Caesarean section.

With rising Caesarean section rates worldwide and increasing patient expectations, preventing surgical site infection (SSI), reducing complications, and improving scar outcomes are critical priorities.

This session will explore advanced wound care technologies, including DACC dressings, alongside practical clinical pathways to enhance outcomes across the continuum of care.

☐ Learning Objectives
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

Identify risk factors for poor wound healing in obstetric patients

Implement evidence-based strategies for SSI prevention

Apply advanced dressing technologies, including DACC technology, in obstetric wounds

Optimise post-operative and community-based wound care pathways

Improve patient-centred outcomes including pain, cosmesis, and recovery
