PSHE Association Autumn Conference 2020

About This Conference

Welcome to the PSHE Association Autumn Online Conference! Click on each session in the "sessions in this conference" section below to join just before the start time!

Most of PSHE education is now statutory — hurrah! But, following the school closures, the DfE has given flexibility for schools to continue preparations in order to be up and running fully by next Summer term.

So, there’s time to get it right — and we’re here to support you. Some of you will already be teaching the statutory content within a broader PSHE education programme; some will be nearer the beginning of the journey, but all of you are facing the challenge of doing this within a very different and challenging school landscape.

Our online conference will offer you practical strategies for this academic year and beyond, to teach safe and effective PSHE education that meets the needs of all your pupils, whatever their experiences of lockdown, home learning and the unfolding situation. Dedicated workshops on the statutory requirements (which came into effect this term, with some leeway for schools whose preparations have been delayed) will offer you a clear way forward — whatever stage you are at.

It’s never been more important to work together as a community to give children and young people the support they need, and we hope you can join us in putting PSHE at the heart of this work.
