About
The conference will begin with an introduction from the PSHE Association Deputy CEO and conference Chair Jenny Barksfield.

Roary Pownall will cover the status of PSHE and RSHE as part of a school’s role in personal development, and give some common indicators of practice in those schools that Ofsted have graded as good or better for PD. This will be from the findings of research Roary has undertaken in respect of inspectors’ evidence bases from 60 schools during the first two terms of Ofsted's new framework. Roary will also look at the sort of aspects Ofsted will be covering in their assurance visits this term.

PSHE Association trustee Marilyn Holness, Professor of Professional Practice and Pedagogy in Education at the University of Roehampton, will speak about 'Getting it right from the start' when it comes to covering PSHE education in teacher training and discuss the latest support we can offer ITE providers and trainee teachers.
