Part 2: Jamie Gillespie from Pace Rehabilitation talks about exciting developments in and clinical trial of electronic microprocessor-controlled feet. Electronic microprocessor controlled knee joints and arm prostheses are well established and commonly used within prosthetic rehabilitation. Intelligent microprocessor controlled feet whilst not new, continue to be an area of discussion within legal claims. This presentation will explain how this group of advanced prosthetic feet are evaluated and used within private prosthetic facilities within the UK. Functional advantages for the amputee will be discussed along with limitations of use of these designs.
