Francesco Pasquali
Chair, TETRA Industry Group, TCCA
Francesco has been working for Leonardo since 1997, being always involved in the professional mobile radio business and in particular TETRA product management and marketing.
After many years of activities on TETRA standardisation in ETSI and even longer contributing to TCCA IOP activities as one of its pioneers, Francesco has been sitting on the TCCA board as one of the Directors for five mandates (October 2006 – present).
Since April 2018 Francesco has also been appointed as Chair of the TCCA TETRA Industry Group, driving the TETRA industry community on common marketing efforts in support of the TETRA standard and certain updates to the standard to ensure fit-for-purpose for at least the next 5-10 years.
Peter Hudson
Chief Technology Officer, Sepura
Peter is Chief Technology Officer at Sepura, responsible for product strategy, R&D, technical roadmaps, strategic partnerships and standards bodies including ETSI and 3GPP for Sepura. He has been extensively involved in TETRA, DMR, LTE and Enterprise Applications for Sepura.
Previously Peter has worked in mainstream telecommunications for public operators, SME's and start-up companies, involving network management, broadband wireless and private mobile radio for over 25 years.
His involvement in TETRA has been on-going since 1994, leading the system design team at Philips and Simoco, working on the design and development of TETRA infrastructure and latterly product strategy with Sepura.
Tim Clark
Industry Relations Director, Motorola Solutions
Tim works within the Motorola Solutions International Strategy organisation as the Industry Relations Director, focussed on mission-critical communication solutions for public safety users.
Since graduating with a Master of Engineering degree in Telecommunications, he has gained over 30 years of experience working for global mobile communications manufacturers in a variety of international roles including Engineering, IT support, Product Management, Marketing, Business Development, Channel Management and Sales.
Throughout his career Tim has built technical knowledge of telecoms technologies including Land Mobile Radio (e.g. TETRA, DMR, P25, PMR446 and analogue systems) and mobile cellular solutions (2G, 3G, 4G & 5G), combined with a deep understanding of user and market requirements.
Tim has strong communication and collaboration skills and enjoys working within, and leading, successful teams. Tim played an active role in the definition of the ETSI Digital Mobile Radio standards and helped drive the DMR Association. Within TCCA Tim is currently chairing the Mission-critical Broadband Applications task force and is actively participating in other initiatives.
Tim is based in the UK and lives in the south of England with his wife and three daughters.
Simon Riesen
Senior Solutions Manager, DAMM Cellular Systems
As Senior Solutions Manager at DAMM Cellular Systems, Simon provides technical expertise to DAMM sales teams and partners worldwide. He holds a B.A. in Electrical Engineering and an M.A. in Telecommunication Management and has worked with TETRA solutions for over 20 years.
He has held various positions at Nokia's PMR business (later to become Airbus), giving him wide experience with delivering technical and pre-sales support and technical training.
Simon worked as a system architect for BOSNET, the largest TETRA network in the world, for many years, focusing on traffic engineering and solutions to optimize voice and data communications on narrowband systems. He has also been deeply involved in designing mission-critical solutions over broadband giving him a complete technical background on PMR and a clear understanding of the market needs.
