The Second World War’s repercussions were felt all around the world – but they weren’t always the ones we might expect. This session examines some of the most dramatic changes wrought by the conflict, from medical advances and the advent of nuclear power to geopolitical changes such as the Cold War and the creation of Israel. It will also consider the topic that underlies them all: the collective trauma that has kept us obsessing over the war for more than 75 years.

The session will include an introductory talk, discussion of a document picked by Keith, and an extensive Q&A. Registrants will also be sent a link to view a recording of the webinar shortly after it has ended.
