As face-to-face (F2F) meetings and events begin to reopen amidst COVID-19, the need to implement new safety protocols has emerged. To operate F2F meetings responsibly during a pandemic, it is vital that we take action to ensure participants, suppliers, and staff are protected within the scope of our events from contracting or spreading a communicable disease. Going beyond the basics of the social distancing, mask-wearing, and frequent hand sanitation, there are myriad considerations to cultivate safe environments.
This class will define the role and describe the responsibilities of the Pandemic Compliance Advisor (PCA) whose duty is to ensure that these safe practices are implemented, communicated, and effectively carried out throughout the entire event cycle. This 3 hour course is presented as a live webinar, and while targeted to the gamut of meeting and event professionals, suppliers working with meetings and events will also benefit.
A certificate of completion will be awarded upon passing the exam. Additionally, this class is available for up to 3.0 CE Credits through Events Industry Council (Domain G: Meeting or Event Design). Health Education Services will report attendance to EIC; however, you will need to register using the email associated with your EIC profile for credit to be assigned to your account. Individuals who register under a different email address will be required to self-report attendance.
Resource materials will be provided following the course. Attendees are obliged to review resource materials before actively functioning in the PCA role, and to revisit linked resources proactively and periodically to check for updates as they relate to this or future pandemic-related guidance.
