If would be very useful if admins could switch the video layout between the current "gallery" mode and an "active speaker mode." (These are terms used by Zoom, which offers these two options). Active Speaker Mode would only show the person who is currently speaking (their microphone essentially triggers the camera). This is very useful for very large panels where it's not necessary to show every single panelist on the screen simultaneously. But it would be messy and impractical to ask the panelists to keep turning on and off their cameras. Or for the admin to keep moving people on and off the "stage." Instead, active speaker mode would dynamically do all of the work for you. I understand this is probably a very advanced feature to implement, but hopefully you're already thinking about it.
