Loreen Peays is a participant of The LOHM Grow with Google (GWG) training offered by The Ladies of Hope Ministries. Following are highlights of her learning experience:
" The GWG digital training has had a huge impact on my future, and career goals in becoming a published author. Currently, I am learning to use Google Workplace, and especially Google Docs to create my first book. A dream of mine is to become a published author. The book I am writing can help women affected by trauma, fear, and depression. As an overcomer, I want to share how I used a faith-based practice of hope, determination, and strength to move past what was stunting my growth, and share my strategies with others. GWG is helping me to become more confident in my personal and professional life using digital technology.
I am learning to gather information, and utilize the data to create content for the book. I use Google Docs to create, and edit documents for the manuscript, and collaborate with others.
I use Google Drive to store my work and photos, and use Gmail to communicate online to get the reviews and feedback. The GWG digital training is very beneficial to me, because it helped launched my career as an independent writer and aspiring author. While in the training, I gained the digital skills I needed to get a job and advance in the workplace Now, I am independent, self sufficient and thriving on the job. Thank you to the LOHM and GWG for providing me the digital literacy training as an opportunity for me to grow, flourish and compete in this world with a bight new career.
