Kevin Dupuis is an aerospace engineer working at Solvay Composite Materials as a senior customer engineer. He has been working in the aerospace industry on development of composite materials and processes for the last ten years. He joined Solvay about two years ago from an aircraft OEM where he worked primarily as an M&P engineer. His involvement includes initial manufacturing, testing, certification and ramp-up of large- to small-scale composite structures for new commercial and business jet programs. He was also involved in cost reduction initiatives for more affordable composite parts as well as R&D projects where he has had a chance to work with different prepreg and adhesive systems, manufacturing processes, tooling and part inspection techniques. His current focus is on the development of materials and processes for high-rate manufacturing of composite parts aimed at increasing manufacturing rates, lowering cost and improving performance in aerospace and urban air mobility platforms.
