Ashish Kumar, Ph.D., is co-founder of Zunum Aero. Inspired by the disruptive power of novel propulsion, he founded Zunum Aero in 2013 following a long record of commercial leadership as GM at Microsoft, COO Americas at Google, GM at Dell, and Management consultant at McKinsey & Company. His prior experience includes the launch of Aeroxchange with Star Alliance, Fedex and UPS in 2000, which is now the leading electronic marketplace for global aviation. Ashish has a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Cornell University, and spent his early career as Assistant Professor of Engineering at Brown University, and as research fellow at Sandia National Laboratories. Whether hiking or sailing, he is excited to combine his love for the outdoors with his work on sustainable flight.
