Matt is a PhD student at the University of California, Los Angeles. For his PhD research, Matt is studying the Greenland Ice Sheet, how it is melting, and how the melting ice contributes to sea level rise. Matt has a BA in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a MS in Hydrology from Oregon State University. Matt studies how snow and ice melt and how the water from melting snow and ice flows into rivers that humans and ecosystems need to stay healthy.
