Dr. Kim J. Zietlow is Director at FDI Center, where he focuses on project delivery, business development and global representation. He has more than 12 years of experience in consulting and economic development and his areas of expertise include investment attraction and promotion, location marketing, startup and digital ecosystem building, trainings and workshop moderation.
Previously, Kim was Director in the Investment Promotion Division at Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI), the economic development agency of the Federal Republic of Germany, where he was the lead for startups and digital ecosystems. Between 2016 and 2018, Kim was Deputy Delegate of the German Industry for Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Yemen based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (AHK). He worked closely with economic development agencies to promote bilateral trade and investment.
Additionally, Kim has published papers in international peer-reviewed journals and spoke at conferences in Europe and the Middle East. Further, he has taught graduate education classes at German and US universities and appeared as an expert on Al Jazeera’s show Counting the Cost.
