Bio
Can Dincer completed his studies in microsystems engineering in 2016 and received his doctorate degree summa cum laude from the University of Freiburg. In September 2019, he joined the editorial team of the journal Biosensors and Bioelectronics as an associate editor and in September 2020 he won the IBA Heiligenstadt Best Paper Award for his publication on the first CRISPR-powered electrochemical microfluidic biosensor, published in the journal Advanced Materials. In 2020, the journal ACS Sensors named Dincer one of 25 early-stage investigators that were advancing the field of sensor science. His Disposable Microsystems research group develops bioanalytical microsystems for various applications, including wearable and point-of-care diagnostics, and food and environmental monitoring.
