Muriel Rocher is a Ph. Doctor in Tectonics (Earth & Universe Sciences) from the Paris VI University, France. She’s been researcher and teacher in Structural Geology for four years in universities in France and Canada. In IRSN (the French TSO) since 2004, she is a nuclear safety engineer, deputy head of the Unit of expertise and modeling of radioactive waste disposal facilities. In parallel to R&D in geology, she essentially contributes to the safety evaluation of Andra’s safety cases for geological disposal (IL-LL&HL RW) and for subsurface disposal (LL&IL-LL RW). She actively participates in the technical activities of the SITEX.Network.
