Aaron Mays is an award-winning PR professional and media relations strategist based in Chicago who has created top-notch campaigns for brands. Over the course of his ten-year career, he has landed stories in local, national, international and trade outlets such as the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, Advertising Age, Marketplace Radio, CNBC Africa and the Chicago Tribune.
After working within agencies and in-house marketing teams, Aaron decided to start his own PR consultancy, Mays Media Group. In his practice, he builds a storyboard outlining the brand’s intellectual capital then identifies individual stories, as well as the brand’s overarching narrative, which will appeal to the press and the public. Since then, he has worked with clients in a diverse array of sectors, including technology, education, agriculture and marketing.
Aaron previously served in communications roles at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, Weber Shandwick, The Axis Agency and Rise Interactive. He is a proud graduate of Northwestern University.
