Bio
Simone Tillmann studied geoscience with focus on hydrogeology at the University of Bonn, Germany and received her degree in 2020. After working at GRS Cologne, she joined BGE, the federal company for radioactive waste disposal in Germany. Today, her work evolves around post-closure safety assessments regarding the radioactive waste disposal sites in Germany with particular focus on geological and hydrogeological modelling, biosphere modelling and assessment of uncertainty. She is interested in international collaboration, especially regarding multiple aspects of safety case development. Simone Tillmann has been a member of the IGSC NGN core group since the end of 2024.
