Ophelia Harutyunyan is an Armenian filmmaker based in New York. Her films have played at major film festivals such as Venice, Sundance, TIFF, SXSW, IDFA, Doc NYC, AFI, Clermont-Ferrand, and Raindance. Red Apples, the short film she wrote and produced, premiered at TIFF and won the Best Narrative Short award at Florida Film Festival. Ophelia has produced Oscar-winning filmmaker Alex Gibney's feature documentary Citizen K and feature film Crazy, Not Insane for HBO. Most recently, together with Alex Gibney and Suzanne Hillinger, she co-directed and produced the critically acclaimed COVID-19 documentary Totally Under Control. She was a 2020 East-West Resident with Creative Armenia.
