Lisa Lambert is the executive director of Parent/Professional Advocacy League (PPAL), a family-run organization that supports, trains and advocates for thousands of families every year. Because helping families doesn’t improve the children’s mental health system by itself, she also works on a statewide and national level to advocate for better policies and practice. She is the mother of two (now adult) sons, one of whom has significant mental health needs, which propelled her into this work. In her spare time, she writes two successful blogs and fosters rescue dogs.
