Mamta Singhal BEng MSc MBA CEng MIET, FWES is a design engineer and has an NPD and supply chain background; moreover, she is an active campaigner on diversity in engineering.
In 2007, she was awarded the Women's Engineering Society Prize for engaging and inspiring young people's interest in STEM.
A Chartered Engineer Mamta's career has seen her work for Scottish Enterprise, Dyson, Mars and international toy company Hasbro.
In 2016 and 2019 she was a speaker and mentor at Management Today's Inspiring Woman in Business Conference for STEM and in 2018 she chaired the panel for the IET Young Woman Engineer of the Year awards. She also appeared in the IET's 'Portrait of an Engineer' campaign in 2017. She has recently spoken at Cogx where she presented on the future of manufacturing and sustainability. She also sits on The IET’s UK Manufacturing Policy Panel.
Over the years she chaired engineering awards and mentored others in fulfilling their potential. A truly passionate person with regards to STEM, she drives the connection between creativity, sustainable product development and engineering wherever possible. She has over 15 years' experience with roles in manufacturing, project management, engineering, quality, packaging development and sustainability. She currently works for a major FMCG.
