Melissa Gogel is the Vice President of Marketing, Tourism & Communications for Visit Phoenix, overseeing the organization’s website (VisitPhoenix.com), advertising, social media and email marketing efforts as well as travel trade and media relations. She’s been with the organization for more than 20 years. Prior to her leap into the travel industry, Melissa worked in the in-house marketing department of a family-owned retail clothing chain. In her personal time, you’ll find Melissa Facebooking and Instagraming about her passions – animals, books, local restaurants and boutiques, and of course, travel.
Melissa graduated from the University of Tennessee – Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. She is actively in involved in both the U.S Travel Association and Destinations International and loves any opportunity to connect with her colleagues from other DMOs.
