Dr Tania de St Croix is a Lecturer at King’s College London. She is currently researching the experiences of young people, practitioners and policy influencers in relation to youth impact and accountability mechanisms, with Louise Doherty (ESRC ref. ES/R004773/1). Her book, Grassroots Youth Work: Policy, Passion and Resistance in Practice, was published by Policy Press in 2016. Prior to her academic work she was a community-based youth worker for over twenty years in Manchester, Bath and Hackney, and remains a youth work volunteer and active member of In Defence of Youth Work.
