Mariadele Priest is Senior Director for Community Impact and Investment at Capital One. Ms. Priest leads the department’s design team for affordable housing and digital connectivity, which includes shaping community development strategy, program development and philanthropic investments. She is responsible for directing the bank’s national philanthropy related to affordable housing and digital inclusion. She serves on numerous boards and advisory committees, including the board of directors of the New York Mortgage Coalition and Fifth Avenue Committee in Brooklyn.
Previously she was Deputy Director of the Fannie Mae New York Partnership office where she was responsible for working with lenders, community organizations, faith-based organizations, employers and local government to craft underwriting experiments to meet the needs of low income and immigrant homebuyers. Before joining Fannie Mae, she served as Executive Director of Neighbors Helping Neighbors, a non-profit housing organization serving the Brooklyn community of Sunset Park.
Ms. Priest is a graduate of Goucher College and received a Masters in Public Policy from the University of Michigan where she was an Alfred P Sloan Scholar.
