Bio
Walt received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Youngstown State University in 1987. He worked for New Castle Industries, which was subsequently acquired by Xaloy for 27 years as a design engineer, designing extrusion and injections screws, along with complete extrusion systems. Walt is now part of the Nordson PPS team after Nordson acquired Xaloy in 2012. He has been with the organization as a Senior Extrusion Application Engineer for 8 years.
He has authored and co-authored many technical papers and presentations for SPE. Walter has designed many screws for extrusion, and injection molding applications, for a wide variety of resins and processes. He holds co-patents in the area of extrusion screw design, and mixer design.
Walter has been a member of SPE since 1990 and has served on the board of directors of the Injection Molding Division of SPE.
