Troy Roderick has specialised in Diversity & Inclusion for around 25 years. In his current ongoing engagements across business and government, Troy advises CEOs and other business leaders on key insights and trends in gender equality, intercultural diversity, inclusive leadership, flexible work, LGBT+inclusion and all-scale, system-wide change to create more inclusive organisations, and customer and employee experiences.
Troy’s leadership of evidence-based, commercially-focused diversity and inclusion efforts impacts customer, community and employee-related objectives and includes his ground-breaking creation of “All Roles Flex”, and initiatives around inclusive leadership, gender equality, Indigenous employment and workplace responses to domestic and family violence.
Troy’s work has achieved record levels of women’s representation in executive management, CEO leadership team and graduate cohorts; consistent increases in women’s recruitment, retention and representation, including in male-dominated businesses; D&I Index results scoring higher than any other element of employee engagement; a 300% increase in male leaders taking long parental leave; employee engagement of flexible workers at global high-performing norm levels; and increased employment across all diversity segments - Indigenous, disability, LGBT+ and other cultural and linguistic diversity.
He is a member of the:-
• Diversity Council of the Victorian Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning;
• Advisory Board of the Women’s Leadership Institute; and
• Steering Committee for the University of Sydney’s Women, Work and Leadership Research Group.
Troy is also an active an Ambassador for “Honour a Woman”, the movement to achieve gender balance in Australian honours. Troy has been twice recognised in the “Top 50 diversity professionals in industry” in the Global Diversity List.
Troy is a sought-after spokesperson, panellist and keynote speaker, having addressed audiences at the United Nations (New York), business and government events such as CEDA, IORA and ACCI (Australia,Seychelles, Indonesia, Hong Kong) and various events for organisations such as Diversity Council Australia, Community Business, Champions of Change Coalition, Australian Human Rights Commission, University of Sydney Business School and Catalyst.
