Johanna Bonilla is Head of Technical Product Management Europe at JinkoSolar. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems from ESPOL in Ecuador and a Master’s degree in Renewable Energies from the Cologne University of Applied Sciences in Germany. She also holds a professional certificate in Solar Energy in Hot Desert Climates from Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Qatar.
Prior to her time at JinkoSolar, Johanna worked as a planning analyst for Ecuador’s Corporación Nacional de Electricidad and later became a technical expert at TÜV Rheinland in Germany, where she specialized in analyzing and characterizing solar module performance.
She joined JinkoSolar in 2020 as a Technical Manager and was promoted in 2024 to lead the European Technical Product Management team. In this role, she shapes regional product strategies, facilitates technical communications, and ensures products align with European market needs and regulations. Her areas of expertise include PV module characterization, analysis of field failures, bifacial performance, and energy rating- making her a pivotal figure in driving technical excellence across JinkoSolar’s European operations.
