Steven Hollon, PhD, is Gertrude Conaway Vanderbilt Professor of Psychology at Vanderbilt University. His primary interest lies in the etiology and treatment of depression in adults, with work extending from basic psychopathology to prevention and treatment. In 2020, Dr. Hollon received the prestigious Distinguished Scientific Award for the Applications of Psychology from the American Psychological Association, which is given each year to a psychologist who has made serious theoretical or empirical advances in practical issues within psychology.
