Completed her degree at Bradford University, went on to complete Pre-Registration and Residency at Leeds Teaching Hospitals.
She spent 2 years working in Kenya on HIV/TB projects.
She started at North Manchester (NMGH) with Paediatric and Adolescent HIV in 2010. Since 2012 was the lead ID pharmacist at NMGH, responsible for over 2500 HIV patients over multiple outreach clinics, inpatient wards looking after opportunistic infections/tropical illness/Viral Hepatitis and TB and OPAT services.
She has worked on BASHH hepatitis guidelines, BHIVA standards, NHSE policies for treatment of hepatitis C. She started the British Hepatology Pharmacy Group and was the chair until 2018, she is on the HIVPA expert panel and was one of the Clinical Advisors on the BTS MDRTB Advisory Group. She was the lead pharmacist on the ID clinical reference group for NHSE, she was also on the HIV CRG ARV Sub group and worked with NICE on commissioning policies and led on the HIV Northern Algorithm for four years.
She is one of the Clinical Pharmacy Services Managers at Manchester University Foundation Trust and clinically responsible for the pharmacy services to the Manchester Royal Infirmary, Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and University Dental Hospital.
