Rachel is a senior advisor to the Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute (SWFI), a global data and intelligence business focusing on institutional investors. Rachel is also a Senior Advisor at SkyBridge Capital, a global investment management firm focused on alternative investments (predominantly hedge funds).
Rachel has been based in the Middle East since 2008, spending almost a decade at Mubadala Investment Company - one of the Middle East’s largest sovereign wealth funds - in their Capital Markets & Treasury team. She managed the Asset & Liability Committee for Mubadala GE Capital, focusing on interest rate, FX and cash flow risk. A CFA Charterholder and chartered treasurer, in 2014 the Association of Corporate Treasurers named Rachel “The One to Watch” in Treasury. Rachel was previously a Director at Heirloom Investment Management, a Canadian single-family office.
A trained television journalist with over 5 years’ experience at the BBC, Rachel is the co-host of a podcast called ‘Follow The Money’ in partnership with SWFI. She is a regular contributor to Bloomberg and CNBC, and acts as MC for numerous international high-profile events such as SALT, AIM Summit, SWFI Summit Series, Global Entrepreneurship Summit and The Knowledge Series.
In 2009 Rachel published her first book - Jandal Prints on the Globe – and helped to establish a charity called Espoir so that sale proceeds could go towards supporting youth entrepreneurship.
She is a CFA Charterholder, chartered treasurer, published author, television news anchor, and member of Mensa.
