Ellie Button qualified from the University of Cambridge Veterinary School in 2006 and gained her Certificate of Advanced Veterinary Practice (Cattle) in 2020. She has worked in farm, mixed and small animal practices in Lancashire, Cambridgeshire and Yorkshire and spent three years teaching clinical skills to final year students at Cambridge Vet School.
Since 2017, she has worked as a Veterinary Surgeon for Howells Veterinary Services in Easingwold, North Yorkshire where she leads the teaching and training events. Her main interests are cattle infectious diseases, calf rearing, cattle lameness and teaching.
She is a BCVA-accredited BVD advisor, Johne’s advisor, TB advisor, MilkSure deliverer, Mobility Mentor and Mastitis Control Programme deliverer. She is on the editorial board for UK Vet Livestock and enjoys writing and reviewing articles
