Meet Jacob Horne, a seasoned cybersecurity expert with over 15 years of interdisciplinary experience. Specializing in navigating the intricacies of cybersecurity regulations, Jacob applies his expertise in NIST standards and federal rulemaking to demystify the complex world of NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC, focusing particularly on NIST SP 800-53. With a background that includes leading Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) teams at AT&T, Northrop Grumman, and the NIST Manufacturing Extension Partnership, as well as spearheading both offensive and defensive cybersecurity operations for military and civilian teams, Jacob has also contributed to cybersecurity education by developing and teaching programs for institutions such as the NSA National Cryptologic School, UCLA, and UC Irvine.
