Anthony McMahon is Regional Director, APAC for GitLab. His role is to help CIOs & DevOps across Asia, to simplify, collaborate & accelerate their Software innovation and business impact. GitLab is a complete DevSecOps platform, delivered as a single application, fundamentally changing the way Development, Security, and Ops teams collaborate. Prior to this, Anthony spent +7years at SAP, holding a number of strategic leadership roles in Asia Pacific and Japan. Launching SAP’s Database business, covering SAP HANA, the acquired Sybase Data & Mobility products, Analytics and Middleware. He also was responsible for the SAP Ecosystem Business covering global SI’s, Value Added Resellers, Managed Cloud Partners & OEM. Finally, he led the Mid-market & SME fast growth customer segment, eventually representing 20% of SAP’s APJ business.
Prior to his role at SA, he spent +16 years at HP in leadership roles in North America and APJ. Covering Senior Vice President roles in Asia for HP Software(now MicroFocus). HP Enterprise Storage and Servers, a US$4B Go-to-market business with full P&L responsibility. He also established in APJ the “Direct-to-customer” business model, growing fromless than US$50M to $500M, post the Compaq acquisition. Earlier in his career, McMahon held various positions in management, finance, sales and operations roles over a +9 year period in both Australia and Europe, with TNT Worldwide Express and Ansett Airlines.McMahon holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of New South Wales and a master of business administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management, Sydney.
