Professor Marcus Wagstaff BSc, MBBS, PhD, FRCS(Plast), FRACS
Marcus is a Specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, Head of Unit of the Adult Burns Service at the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH), Associate Professor affiliated to the University of Adelaide Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, and Head of the RAH Skin Engineering Laboratory.
He obtained his medical degree and PhD in molecular pathology at University College London, trained in plastic and reconstructive surgery in the UK, and has been working as a consultant at the RAH since 2010.
His surgical interests include breast reconstruction after cancer, burns surgery, microsurgery, cosmetic breast surgery, body contouring, hand surgery, skin cancer excision and reconstruction, and trauma.
He has research interests in skin culture, wounds, dermal substitutes, and scar management. He is a qualified PhD supervisor for the University of Adelaide and an examiner for the FRACS exam.
