Jonathan Kulick, Ph.D., is the Deputy Director of Research and Programs at the NYU Marron Institute. He manages a portfolio of research and technical-assistance projects in crime, drugs, and governance. He has conducted research on community supervision, international drug-control policy, and narcotics trafficking. He was Director of Studies at the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies, an associate policy analyst at RAND, and a research scientist at IBM. Peggy Carey is the Swift Certain and Fair Program Coordinator at DeKalb County Court Services in Illinois. She has developed and implemented programs for juveniles and adults designed to manage client behavior, improve access to evidence-based interventions, and reduce future incarceration. Her work includes the management of stakeholders, guiding them through decision-making processes to collectively address challenges such as responding to client marijuana use post-legalization.
