Teck Meng is currently ManpowerGroup’s Regional Data Protection Officer (RDPO) for Asia Pacific and Middle East (APME). ManpowerGroup is a NYSE-listed provider of workforce solutions with offices around the world. As RDPO, he leads country DPOs from UAE to Australia, Japan to Singapore, to make sure business processes comply with GDPR/local privacy laws and that employees remain cognizant of their responsibilities in dealing with personal data.
Teck Meng’s RDPO role is part of ManpowerGroup’s Group Information Security & Privacy (GISP) team overseeing information security and data privacy compliance within the company. Teck Meng is certified to CIPP/E, CIPP/A, CIPT and CIPM, in addition to his Practitioner Certificate in Personal Data Protection (Singapore), Advanced Certificate in Data Protection Operational Excellence and Advanced Certificate in Data Protection Principles (the latter two from Singapore Management University, SMU).
