Bio
Tiffanie leads all aspects of TIR’s acquisition sourcing and management functions, matching clients’ investment objectives with appropriate opportunities and then directing purchase negotiations and closing logistics. Her responsibilities include evaluating and modeling acquisition opportunities, monitoring global transaction trends, conducting due diligence visits, managing transactional logistics, and building and maintaining working relationships with prospective land sellers. In addition, she serves as Vice Chair of TIR’s Investment Committee and maintains leadership roles within TIR’s public policy efforts. Among other things, she currently serves on the National Alliance of Forestland Owners (NAFO) Operating Committee, the US Forest and Wood Products Inclusion Council, the Georgia Forestry Foundation, and the World Forestry Center.
Prior to joining TIR, Tiffanie spent ten years with the Hancock Timber Resource Group (Now Manulife Timberland Investment), where she had most recently served as Transaction Manager. This entailed overseeing strategic negotiations, developing tax-efficient purchase and holding structures, and directing due diligence activities. During this time, she helped the firm close more than $6 billion in domestic and international acquisitions. Her prior experience included serving on the development teams of The Conservation Fund and The Nature Conservancy. Tiffanie earned a BS in Environmental Science and Management at Duke University. She also holds two master’s degrees from the University of Georgia: a MFR (Forest Resource Management) and an MBA with concentrations in real estate, marketing and operations, and currently serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board at the UGA Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources.
