James leads the Attune team on its mission to transform how small businesses get the insurance they need through Attune's innovative technology and data-driven insurance platform that simplifies and streamlines the insurance process. James is also a member of Attune's board of directors.
Before joining Attune in March 2017, James was Chief Operating Officer of online lending company OnDeck where he oversaw the Company's development to the industry leader in online small business lending. His responsibilities included operations, product, analytics, credit, risk management, platform solutions, and business development. James played integral roles in stewarding OnDeck through an IPO in 2014 and launching OnDeck's landmark partnership with JP Morgan Chase in 2015.
Before joining OnDeck, James served as SVP, Technology Operations for iQor, Inc., a leading private equity-backed global business process outsourcing company. At iQor, he helped to build a platform for commercializing iQor's proprietary suite of business applications and managed a global technology team. Before iQor, James co-founded BuyYourFriendADrink.com, which sold to LivingSocial in 2009. Early in his career, he was a consultant at McKinsey & Company.
James serves on the Advisory Board of Reading Partners, an education nonprofit dedicated to improving students' reading skills.
James is a graduate of Hamilton College and also holds a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
