Bio
Deronda Mobelini serves as the Executive Director of the University Center of the Mountains (UCM), HCTC's Higher Education Transfer Center, and the Academic Dean for Hazard Community and Technical College's (HCTC) School of Humanities, Communication and Transfer. When the Center opened in 2005, the UCM had 5 partners (including HCTC and KCTCS), and its mission was to provide improved access to quality bachelor's and graduate degree programs. That mission continues today as the UCM boasts 12 partners ( including 10 four-year colleges/universities) and diverse student services that support eastern Kentuckians' higher education attainment goals.
Deronda Mobelini earned her Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY, and her bachelor's degree from Union College, Barbourville, Ky.
