Joanna currently teaches at the British Council in Bulgaria, where she is jointly responsible for developing and teaching a new phonics course for very young learners. In addition to her CELTA and CELTA YL, Joanna has a BA in Modern Languages and MA in International Education and Development, together with more than six years of teaching experience in Europe, Asia and South America. Joanna especially enjoys teaching primary-school children, including in more challenging environments such as refugee camps and children’s homes.
