Bio
Marsha was first connected to The Rowan Center as a volunteer during her undergraduate studies. As of July 2020, Marsha brings with her over 15 years of experience working in the mental health field with 5 ½ of those years dedicated to the passion of supporting survivors of sexual violence. In addition to trauma-informed crisis counseling and advocacy services, Marsha also provides sexual violence prevention education services in English and Haitian Creole and is a co-facilitator for training volunteers as Connecticut Certified Advocates and Counselors. She has been awarded Advocate of the Year by the Connecticut Alliance to End Sexual Violence and is currently pursuing her Master in Art Therapy and Counseling.
