Bio
Nicola Haywood-Alexander started her career as an engineer, providing digitally enabled solutions across a wide selection of industries from concert halls to offshore platforms. She moved to the public sector to enable a better work-life balance around a small family. This was at the start of public sector reform and her analytical, digital information and leadership skills were immediately employed to enable public sector transformation. Many solutions that Nicola has led the design and delivery of, have been innovative and the first of their kind.
Nicola has worked across local government, higher education, health and care, and as a life-ling carer, she is passionate about citizen centred service design. She has been a university governor and chair of an academy trust. As a highly experienced transformation director and strategist, Nicola is a STEM women’s mentor and sits on a number of healthcare advisory panels including the Institute of Engineering and Technology and is founder of Tech4CV19.
