Bio
Joe has been with Shell for thirteen years and currently serves as the Senior CR Advisor at Shell Polymers Monaca and has the responsibility of managing communications and engagement for the facility.
Prior to this role, Joe was the CR focal for the sale of Shell’s Permian Basin asset handling internal and external communication for the Shales SVP and Country Chair. In addition, he worked with our US Stakeholder Relations group developing relationships with NGO’s on a national level.
Joe is originally from Beaver County and spent the beginning of his Shell career in his home state collaborating with communities around Shell’s upstream ventures. Following his success in this role, Joe was chosen to be the first Shell employee, who was also a Beaver County native, to work on a new project, now known as Shell Polymers Monaca. He was part of the team that developed our reputation in the local region working with hundreds of stakeholders, governing bodies, and residents to achieve positive support in the region and a positive Final Investment Decision for this new venture.
Joe received his undergraduate degree in both broadcast and speech communications from Geneva College and a master’s in communication from Purdue University.
Outside of Shell, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife of nearly 25 years, their 20-year-old daughter and 15-year-old son. He also enjoys podcasting and helping to mentor others in their life and careers.
