Dr Mahibur Rahman graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine and is currently a Portfolio GP in Birmingham. He is one of the authors for the Prescribing Safety Assessment, a former GMC examiner and invigilator, and an examiner for Liverpool Medical School.
Through his role as Medical Director of Emedica, he has been involved in training doctors at all stages of their careers, including medical students, GP trainees, GP registrars, GP Trainers and GP VTS Programme Directors.
He is an expert in medical Situational Judgement tests, and is the author of "Tackling Situational Judgement Tests" (BMJ Careers 2007), and has taught medical students from every UK medical school, as well as many international medical graduates preparing for the Foundation SJT since 2012.
He has taught over 61,000 delegates on courses including Foundation SJT, MSRA preparation courses to help doctors get into specialty training, courses to help GP trainees prepare for the MRCGP exams, and GP careers related courses.
As well as teaching for Emedica, Dr Rahman is often invited as an external speaker - engagements have included teaching on the Health Informatics programme at Keele University, teaching at North Birmingham VTS on MRCGP preparation, speaking at events hosted by / with the Medical Protection Society (E-learning for CPD, MRCGP for Trainees) and the West Midlands Deanery (E-learning for general practice, creating educational resources, MRCGP for trainers, MRCGP AKT and CSA preparation, Developing a career as a portfolio GP).
