Dr. Jacob Heck, Ph.D., P.S., is a geodesist who serves as the Great Lakes Regional Geodetic Advisor for NOAA's National Geodetic Survey. He holds a B.S. degree in Surveying Engineering from Michigan Technological University and a Ph.D. in Geodetic Science from The Ohio State University. Jacob has served in leadership and committee roles in organizations such as the National Society of Professional Surveyors, the American Association for Geodetic Surveying, the International Federation of Surveyors, and NCEES, as well as the professional advisory board for the Michigan Tech Department of Civil, Environmental, and Geospatial Engineering.
